Jess Clemmons Announces Engagement to Chris Peavey

Jess Clemmons is famous for being the lead singer of the country music band Jess and The Bandits who are a mixed UK/US act. Now Jess who has achieved critical success with her group has announced she is engaged to boyfriend Chris Peavey after a whirlwind romance.

Speaking about her happy news and the Bandits’ upcoming album, Jess said:

“I think I’m still in a bit of shock right now! Along with being completely career focused, I’ve always hoped to have a “somewhat” traditional life and be married. For many years that didn’t seem to be possible. Now here I am, engaged to the love of my life and about to release an album that feels like the strongest body of work we have ever released. ”

Before finding fame with the band, Jess was an accomplished solo star with the Texan singer having her single ‘Single Tonight‘ championed by the the late, great Sir Terry Wogan on Radio 2. The Irish man was a big fan of the American and invited her to join him in the studio, where she covered Sir Glen Campbell’s ‘Wichita Lineman‘ which prompted Wogan to sate: “that was the most fabulous song that I’ve ever heard”.

We would like to congratulate Jess and her fiancee Chris on their happy news and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
